Is there a downhole sensor package?

Yes.  The borehole package is approximately 5 cm (2 in) in diameter by 16 cm (6.25 in) long.  It was designed to fit inside of a standard PVC pipe.  The package is filled with epoxy so it will be water proof for a significant period of time.  A separate box holds the electronics for the sensors.
